Looking for unforgettable technical training & team building, but can’t afford to send your whole crew half-way across the country to a security conference?
Then let Maven Security come to you for a private ethical hacking boot camp and private capture the flag (CTF). Your staff will be assigned to one of several teams:
Red Team – these are the attackers. They will use the knowledge from our onsite boot camp to attack target systems we provide.
Blue Team – these are the defenders. They will have to defend the systems we provide from the the red team.
Various formats are available, including:
– Red Storm: all players are attackers. They can work solo or in small teams. The objective will be to compromise the target systems we provide.
– Blue Daze: all players are defenders, trying to secure the target systems from Maven Security attackers. Spoiler alert: you not going to succeed (think, “Kobayashi Maru”) so you better be ready for incident handling and eviction procedures.
Advantages over annual conferences
Cost effective: Our team’s travel (varies by size of audience, but typically 2 or 3 people) will cost less than sending your entire staff to a conference.
Guaranteed seating: Making into the qualifying round of an annual conference CTF is difficult – the odds are not in your favor. With private on-site training everyone’s invited to participate. There are roles for all skill levels (yes, even management).
Downtime: Travel to and from the event for your staff is eliminated when we bring the event to you.
Customization: At a typical conference, you get what they give you. While pulling apart an image file for stegonographically concealed data might be a fun time for forensic mavens, it may not be something you need your staff to practice right now. Maven Security can tailor the targets to your specific needs, even incorporating technologies you use on a regular basis.
Live-fire training like this will help reveal strengths and weaknesses in technical knowledge, the ability to prioritize, team communication skills, and more.
